Italy, a peninsula shaped like a boot, is home to basins of the most diverse forms. Just think of the heart shape of Lake Scanno, or the anthropomorphic shape of Lake Maggiore, or the crescent shape of Lake Minisini.

In Italy there are well over 140 types of pasta! Some varieties are produced only at a regional level, whereas others, although they are produced all over Italy, are known with a different name from region to region.

Staying on the topic of food, another curiosity is about Nutella: Italy is the place where it was born. It all began in Cuneo in 1964 where Ferrero, a famous Italian company, starting from previous experiments on a cream called Supercrema, ended up giving rise to the sweet and delicious Nutella!
